1 Peter 3:3-4

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. - 1 Peter 3:3,4

The Call

Pinned Image

The clouds overhead are huge, bellowing shapes of grey. But no rain comes. The wind has been gusting all day, rampaging its way through the tops of the trees, making the leaves dance on the ground. When it comes shoving its way through the windows I cant help hearing a whisper. A whisper...

Come.

I am to busy. I have heaps of things to do. I really dont feel like it, I know you understand. There is so much to do.

Come.

Sometimes I dont hear it because my mind is caught up in something else. When I have my earphones in I cant hear a thing. But I can still feel the cold caress of the wind.

Come.

Jesus wants to spend time with us, and we need Him. We need Him. He is waiting. You dont have to pray and recite prayers for everyone you know. You dont have to memorise that scripture till you know it so well that it has be come dull and dry. (These are wonderful things, and we all need to pray for our friends and memorize scripture, but that is not all you can do, and it shouldnt be the only things you do with Christ.)

Come and be with Jesus. Sit in His prescence- Be still and know that He is God.

Dont make it complicated. Go be with Jesus.

  1. A lovely and inspiring post. It's so easy to let things get complicated and just forget that sometimes all we have to do is just be in His presence.

Thanks for the encouragement today! :)

  2. We always try to do things on our our and how we think they should be done. It's easy and yet not easy to let things go and just be in His presence. It's almost impossible some days, but very possibly within our reach when we surrender.
