1 Peter 3:3-4

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. - 1 Peter 3:3,4

Hold On

Strive to trust me in more and more areas of your life. Anything that tends to make you anxious is a growth opportunity. Instead of running away from these challenges, embrace them, eager to gain all the blessings I have hidden in the difficulties. If you believe that I am Sovereign over every aspect of your life, it is possible to trust Me in all situations. Don’t waste energy regretting the way things are or thinking about what might have been. Start at the present moment~accepting things exactly as they are~and search for My way in the midst of circumstances.
Trust is like a staff you can lean on, as you journey uphill with Me. If you are trusting in Me consistently, the staff will bear as much of your weight as needed. Lean on, trust, and be confident in Me with all your heart and mind.

The Call

Pinned Image

The clouds overhead are huge, bellowing shapes of grey. But no rain comes. The wind has been gusting all day, rampaging its way through the tops of the trees, making the leaves dance on the ground. When it comes shoving its way through the windows I cant help hearing a whisper. A whisper...

Come.

I am to busy. I have heaps of things to do. I really dont feel like it, I know you understand. There is so much to do.

Come.

Sometimes I dont hear it because my mind is caught up in something else. When I have my earphones in I cant hear a thing. But I can still feel the cold caress of the wind.

Come.

Jesus wants to spend time with us, and we need Him. We need Him. He is waiting. You dont have to pray and recite prayers for everyone you know. You dont have to memorise that scripture till you know it so well that it has be come dull and dry. (These are wonderful things, and we all need to pray for our friends and memorize scripture, but that is not all you can do, and it shouldnt be the only things you do with Christ.)

Come and be with Jesus. Sit in His prescence- Be still and know that He is God.

Dont make it complicated. Go be with Jesus.

Discouarged

What do you think when you see many young adults around you partaking in godly relationships, finding their life partners and falling in love, for real?
I feel lonely.

I am single, and seventeen with no prospective husband or boyfriends on the horizon. I have few guy friendships, and most of them are shallow.

I feel discouraged. I am doing all this waiting, keeping my heart for my future husband, while the world is continually shouting at me: Give it up! You can have all that right now! Why wait?

Give me a break.

I dont know anyone who has actually felt anything for me. No boy has ever confessed to me that he wants to start a relationship. Not once.

I am only seventeen. I am only young. I have many years in the future to look forward to. Thats what I keep telling myself.

How do you get courage when you are discouared? How do you keep pushing on when you are tired, and your knees are about to give out underneath you?

In our unmarried years, we are to be especially devoted to the Lords work, but all I can think about is that I do not have a guy who will hold my hand.

Each day is a journey. Dont beat yourself up because your not perfect. God loves you the way you are, but He wont leave it there. He is going to change you into the person you wish you were.

I will try again tomorrow, Lord willing.
