1 Peter 3:3-4

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. - 1 Peter 3:3,4

God's Prompting...

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been so long since our last post. I'm sure you've all been waiting for our next one. Hope you all had great holidays and are settling well back into the routine of school.
How many of us know the story of Moses? I have been studying it recently with my family in morning devotions, and there were two verses in particular that really spoke to me. I am the type of person who does what she's told and I try to do it to the best of my ability, most of the time. Many of you will know the feeling when God prompts you to do something. Maybe He wants you to introduce yourself to the new girl or boy in school, or maybe He wants you to be bold and stand up for you faith when someone critises it. But we all have that fear of either looking stupid or saying something wrong. But I've got some news for you. In these verses Moses and God are having a conversation and Moses has just told God that he is slow in speech and is trying to convince Him that he is not equipped to get the Israelites out of Egypt. But God replies in Exodus 4:11-12 and says, [11]"Who has made mans mouth? Or who has made the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? [12] Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say."This was a big encouragement to me, and now I know that when God tells me to say something to someone, I don't have to fear because he will guide me and teach me what to say. I don't need to worry about looking foolish because I know God is with me. And neither do you. I'm not saying that we will get it right every time, but by knowing that God is with us and our mouths, it helps to do the task that He has asked us to do.
I hope that these verses will help you with your confidence the next time God prompts you to do something.

Blessings,
Taleisha & Meggie
